Abstract
Introduction
Along with the natural growth of the population, the role of immigration has caused the excessive and uneven development of the population of big cities. In general, migration as a social phenomenon has many consequences, most of which have negative or disorderly repercussions, and it disrupts the balance of the system, which is “informal settlement” and, as a result, increases cultural, economic, physical, institutional, and biological damages. The environment is one of these cases. In the meantime, the metropolis of Tabriz is a target point in the geography of Iran, and the center of gravity of the population is not exempt from this the increase in population growth and immigration especially in the 1350s, has caused not only the phenomenon of urbanization and the formation of informal settlements in It becomes a common thing around it, but the villages and cities located around it are affected by this phenomenon. Since 2015, there have been no official statistics on the number of informal settlements in the country. In Tabriz, over 400 thousand people live in informal settlements. Idelou neighborhood in Tabriz city is considered one of the informal settlements that houses 25126 people. Also, since the results of the studies regarding the feeling of security in the informal settlement areas are very important in the planning and adopted policies the results are wrong and inaccurate. On the other hand, the plans made do not achieve the desired result. Therefore, a comprehensive and detailed investigation of the vulnerability factors of urban security and the formation of sustainable security in ideal informal settlements in Tabriz city will be a very important step in solving their needs and problems. In this regard, the main importance of this research is in the comprehensive and internal investigation of the causes of the vulnerability of sustainable security and the phenomenon of security in the Idalo neighborhood, which is an informal settlement in Tabriz city. Because it seems that in many cases, the studies conducted have not investigated the phenomenon internally. Considering the importance and necessity of paying attention to sustainable security in informal settlements, the main goal of this research is to explain and analyze the pathology of sustainable security in the Id‌- Halo neighborhood. For this reason, the present research seeks to answer the question, which components and indicators have the most and the least impact on sustainable security in Tabriz’s ideal neighborhood in terms of vulnerability?
Materials and Methods
The method of this research is qualitative‌- quantitative in terms of its descriptive‌- exploratory nature, and terms of its purpose, it is considered part of applied research, and it is survey research in terms of collecting information. The statistical population includes two groups: experts and residents of the Idelou neighborhood of Tabriz, which is equal to 25126 people. A sample size of 20 experts was selected. In expert‌- oriented research, there is no limit in choosing the sample size. The sample size of the residents of Tabriz’s Ideal neighborhood is 378 using Cochran’s formula. The samples were selected randomly. In the qualitative part, the Foundation’s data method was used, which was analyzed using MAXQDA software and coding of research variables in three steps open, central, and selective coding. Then, in the quantitative part, a questionnaire tool was used to collect data, and a five- choice Likert scale was used for measurement. After the above steps, the data was categorized. For this purpose, structural equations with exploratory factor analysis method were used. Then, second-order confirmatory factor analysis was used to confirm the extracted factors and data analysis was done in the environment of SPSS and Amos software.
Findings
To identify the effective factors and components of vulnerability and sustainable security in the informal settlements of Tabriz city, first through qualitative analysis and semi‌- in- depth structural interviews with experts and their analysis and coding, the four main environmental, physical, economic and social dimensions‌- cultural, nine indicators, among which the environmental component includes two indicators of visual quality, green space and transportation, which includes 12 sub‌- indices, the physical component has two main indicators of access to basic services and the quality of access, housing, facilities and infrastructure services with 23 sub‌- indices, the component Economic with two main indicators of employment and income with 11 sub‌- indices and socio‌- cultural component with three main indicators of public education, personal and social security and place belonging and 17 sub‌- indices and a total of 63 sub‌- indices. In the quantitative part, according to the quantitative findings from the structural equations, it was found that among the four dimensions identified and investigated, the indicators of the socio‌- cultural dimension with a direct effect of 0.486 and an indirect effect of 0.252 have the highest effect on sustainable security. Tabriz city has an ideal informal settlement in terms of pathology. After that, respectively, the physical dimension with a direct effect of 0.398 and an indirect effect of 0.201, an economic dimension with a direct effect of 0.219 and an indirect effect of 0.143, and finally the environmental dimension with a direct effect of 0.198 and an indirect effect. 0.101 has been effective in the sustainable security of the informal settlement of Tabriz city from the point of view of pathology.
Conclusion
The informal settlements of Tabriz city, especially the ideal neighborhood of Tabriz, have not been developed in recent years due to having the necessary infrastructure, but as they should and perhaps in terms of sustainable urban security, to maintain the population and avoid severe migrations. To prevent the influx of alcoholics in this neighborhood. Therefore, all factors have joined hands. To provide sustainable urban security at a low level. As a result, the spatial order, planning, and design of the informal settlement of Tabriz’s ideal neighborhood is strongly influenced by the debates related to environmental conditions and crime, disorder, and insecurity. According to the findings of the research, to reduce vulnerability and improve stable security in the informal settlement of Tabriz’s ideal neighborhood, special attention should be paid to four environmental, physical, economic, and socio- cultural dimensions, because achieving stable security in Tabriz’s ideal neighborhood is part of paying attention to These four dimensions are not possible and will not be.
