The present study aimed to identify scientific trends, detect research gaps, and reveal emerging directions in sustainable transportation studies. This research adopts a bibliometric approach. The data were retrieved from the Scopus database through a systematic search covering the period from 2000 to 2024. In the initial stage, 1,522 records were identified. After removing 87 duplicate documents, 1,435 records remained for the preliminary screening stage. Subsequently, based on the review of titles and abstracts, 1,018 irrelevant documents were excluded. Following a full‑text assessment of the remaining 418 records, a total of 269 articles were selected for the final analysis. The analyses included co‑word, co‑authorship, and co‑citation analyses, and conceptual maps, as well as scientific clusters were generated using VOSviewer and SciMAT software. The findings indicate that the literature on sustainable transportation is concentrated in several major conceptual clusters. The most prominent themes include sustainable urban transportation planning, reduction of transportation‑related emissions, and the development of clean technologies, particularly electric vehicles. In terms of scientific output, the United States and China were identified as the leading contributors in this field. At the institutional level, Arizona State University, Colorado State University, and Sharif University of Technology emerged as the most prominent research institutions in sustainable transportation studies. The results also highlight the growing attention to emerging topics such as electric vehicles and shared mobility systems. However, areas such as rural transportation sustainability and social equity in transportation have received comparatively limited attention, indicating the presence of notable research gaps in this field. حمل‌ونقل پایدار به ‌عنوان یکی از ارکان اصلی توسعۀ پایدار، نقش مهمی در کاهش پیامدهای زیست‌محیطی و ارتقای کیفیت زندگی دارد. مطالعۀ حاضر با هدف شناسایی روندهای علمی، کشف شکاف‌های پژوهشی و آشکارسازی مسیرهای نوظهور در مطالعات حمل‌ونقل پایدار انجام شده است. این پژوهش با رویکرد علم‌سنجی انجام شده است. داده‌های پژوهش از پایگاه Scopus و از طریق جست‌وجوی نظام‌مند در بازۀ زمانی ۲۰۰۰ تا ۲۰۲۴ استخراج شد. در مرحلۀ نخست ۱,۵۲۲ رکورد بازیابی شد که پس از حذف ۸۷ مدرک تکراری، ۱,۴۳۵ رکورد برای غربالگری اولیه باقی ماند. در ادامه، بر اساس بررسی عنوان و چکیده، ۱,۰۱۸ سند نامرتبط حذف شد و در نهایت، با بررسی متن کامل ۴۱۸ مدرک، ۲۶۹ مقاله برای تحلیل نهایی انتخاب شد. تحلیل‌های انجام‌شده شامل هم‌واژه‌ای، هم‌تألیفی و هم‌استنادی بوده و نقشه‌های مفهومی و خوشه‌های علمی با استفاده از نرم‌افزارهای VOSviewer و SciMAT ترسیم شد. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد ادبیات حمل‌ونقل پایدار در چند خوشۀ مفهومی اصلی متمرکز است که مهم‌ترین آن‌ها شامل برنامه‌ریزی حمل‌ونقل شهری پایدار، کاهش انتشار آلاینده‌های حمل‌ونقلی و توسعۀ فناوری‌های پاک به‌ویژه وسایل نقلیۀ برقی می‌شود. از نظر تولید علمی، ایالات متحده و چین بیشترین سهم انتشار را داشته‌اند و در سطح نهادی نیز دانشگاه ایالتی آریزونا، دانشگاه ایالتی کلرادو و دانشگاه صنعتی شریف از مراکز پیشرو شناسایی شدند. همچنین، روندهای نوظهوری مانند وسایل نقلیۀ برقی و سامانه‌های تحرک اشتراکی مورد توجه فزاینده قرار گرفته‌اند، در حالی که موضوعاتی نظیر پایداری حمل‌ونقل روستایی و عدالت اجتماعی در حمل‌ونقل کمتر بررسی شده‌اند و نشان‌دهندۀ وجود شکاف‌های پژوهشی در این حوزه هستند. https://www.juep.net/article_243955_fdefc309c619ad4138864fdab7d06dd1.pdf
